LifeStance pixel privacy lawsuit, who sued and who can file

LifeStance Health patients from March 1, 2020, through April 30, 2023, can file in a settlement over tracking pixels on lifestance.com. The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona as case 2:23-cv-00682, says those pixels sent patient identifying information to Meta, Google, and other third parties without permission.
LifeStance denies wrongdoing and the court has not ruled on who is right. The settlement administrator is taking claims through September 29, 2026.
The allegation against LifeStance
The plaintiffs say LifeStance placed third-party tracking code on its public website, and that the code captured what patients did there, including booking activity, then passed personally identifiable information to advertising and analytics companies. They argued patients never agreed to that sharing.
LifeStance settled without admitting the claims. The company agreed to fund $3,027,874.44, which is the only money figure in the case.
Two patient groups, two funds
- Subclass 1 covers patients who booked at least one session through the online booking tool on lifestance.com between March 1, 2020, and April 30, 2023.
- Subclass 2 covers other LifeStance patients from the same period who did not use that booking tool.
- Each subclass has its own share of the fund, and approved claimants in a group split that group's money equally after court-approved costs.
- LifeStance officers and directors, certain related entities and counsel, court personnel, and anyone who excludes themselves are not included.
Current status
The case is in the claims period. Online claims are due September 29, 2026, and paper claims need a postmark no later than that date. No documentation is required. Your settlement notice tells you which subclass you belong to and which claim form to use.
Filing and what the administrator does next
Go to the official LifeStance Pixel Settlement site, pick the form for your subclass, and enter the patient, contact, and payment details it requests. Keep the confirmation, and tell the administrator if your address or payment information changes before money goes out.
Once the deadline passes, the administrator validates claims and calculates each person's pro rata share. Payments follow the court's final approval.
