Lands' End data breach settlement, what was alleged and who can file

Lands' End is settling claims over a December 2024 attack on its computer systems. The people who sued say files taken in that attack may have held names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver's license or passport details, and some medical information.
The court has not ruled on whether Lands' End did anything wrong. Both sides agreed to settle instead of going to trial, and the settlement administrator is accepting claims through October 22, 2026.
What the lawsuit says happened
Cybercriminals got into Lands' End systems in December 2024 and may have copied files with customer and employee personal information. The plaintiffs argued the retailer should have protected that data better.
Lands' End has not admitted any of this. The settlement papers state that the court has not decided which side is right.

Where the case stands

Each valid claim can choose between an estimated $60 alternative cash payment with no documents, or up to $5,000 for losses you can back up with receipts or bank statements. The estimate can move up or down depending on how many people file.
Filing with the administrator and what comes after
The settlement notice you received carries a Login ID and PIN. Enter those on the administrator's claim form. If you never got the notice or lost it, the administrator can look up your credentials.
