Excel Fitness settled a class action over a January 2025 cyberattack on its computer systems that reached employee files. Current and former employees whose information was potentially accessible can file at the Excel Fitness Data Incident Settlement site through September 21, 2026.
The files that were accessed may have held names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, financial account information, and Social Security numbers.
Excel Fitness denies wrongdoing, and the court has not decided who is right. Both sides settled so employees could get cash and credit monitoring without waiting for a trial.
Who the settlement covers
- Current or former Excel Fitness employees living in the United States.
- Your personal information was potentially accessible in the January 2025 incident.
- You received notice of the incident, or you otherwise fit the official class definition on the settlement site.
- You are not in an excluded group listed there.
What is on the table
Two paths on the claim form. An alternative cash payment estimated at $50 with no paperwork, or reimbursement for documented losses and lost time up to $4,000 with bank statements or receipts attached. Total cash benefits are capped at $175,000 across all claims, so the $50 estimate can shrink if many people file. Two years of credit monitoring is also included.
Status
Claims are open. The deadline is September 21, 2026, online or by mailing a signed form postmarked by that date. The claim form uses the login information printed on your notice. If you cannot find it, the administrator can help you access the form.
After you file
The settlement administrator reviews your selection and any documents, then issues a confirmation. Keep a copy of everything you uploaded. Payment timing depends on final court approval, which the settlement site will post.
