What the investigation alleges

GLP-1 drugs such as semaglutide are prescription medications. The patches under investigation are sold over the counter with marketing that borrows the GLP-1 label. Arisohn's theory is deceptive advertising: buyers expected a medical effect the product could not deliver.

Nothing has been proven. No court has ruled, and the companies behind the patches have not been found liable for anything.

Who the intake is looking for

The intake page at stopconsumerharm.com asks whether you bought a patch advertised as a GLP-1 alternative. If you have an order confirmation, a receipt or the product packaging, keep it. The firm decides eligibility, and the criteria can change as the investigation develops.

Where it stands right now

Status is pre-filing. If Arisohn brings a class action, a court would need to certify the class before anyone is formally covered. The firm's page notes that class representatives may, at a court's discretion, receive an award in the $1,000 to $10,000 range on top of any damages, but that applies only to named plaintiffs in a case that has not yet been filed.
